frequently asked questions
What kind of equipment do you use?

We use Noritsu professional minilab equipment that has been carefully refurbished; a QSF-V50 developer for color 35mm and 120 development and Noritsu HS1800s and S1100s for all our scanning. We use a Phototherm Super-Sidekick for black and white film.

What is your turnaround time?

We are a same-day film lab; we're going to process your order as fast as we can! That means the same day for color rolls dropped off before 2pm, and the next day after. Mondays and Tuesdays are our busiest days, so you may not see your scans til the evening, but they're coming! Black and white turnaround is currently 5-10 days based on demand.

How do I get you my rolls?

We've got a rad, secure little contactless dropbox outside our house. Check out ourdrop off film page to learn more about how-to, where-to, why-to, etc.

What if I can't make it to your dropbox?

You can mail us your film - check out this page for instructions!

How do I pay?

That's the easy part. As soon as your rolls are ready, you'll receive an invoice via email, which you can pay via card or PayPal.

How do I get my scans?

Easy! The moment your invoice is paid (literally, this website may be from the 90s but our automation is from 2023), you'll get an email with a link to download your scans in a zip file.

What about getting back my negatives?

This only takes the tiniest bit of planning on your part. When you're ready to get back your negatives, hit this link to schedule a time to pick up, and they'll be in the dropbox waiting for you.

How are y'all so affordable?

We are on a mission to make film photography as accessible and as affordable as possible. To keep costs low (without losing quality) we run the business out of our house, and it's just the two of us! We still shoot weddings and develop all our wedding film ourselves; quality and accuracy are extremely important to us.
